Pamela Blake, M.D. – Neurology Dr. Blake, director of the Headache Center of Northwest, is a board-certified neurologist. She completed undergraduate training with a bachelor’s degree in biology, cum laude, at the University of Scranton in Scranton, Penn. She received her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. Dr. Blake completed a residency in neurology at Georgetown University Hospital and a fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Blake served on the faculty of the Georgetown University Hospital Department of Neurology from 1995-2006, where she was director of the Headache Clinic since its inception in 1999. In collaboration with Georgetown faculty, she developed novel and successful interventional treatments for chronic daily headache. In addition to her interest in headaches, Dr. Blake has been actively engaged in research in behavioral neurology and cognitive sciences and served as volunteer faculty at the Cognitive Neurosciences Section at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Blake has been actively involved in the education of students and residents throughout her career, mentoring several medical students. She resides in Spring, Texas, with her family. |
