The Memorial Hermann Sleep Disorders Center in Sugar Land is a high-end, hospital-based sleep lab featuring four bedrooms, each designed to resemble a comfortable bedroom in a home or hotel.
Using computer technology, polysomnographic technologists, under the supervision of specially trained physicians board certified in sleep medicine, provide around-the-clock supervision and monitoring of all patients.
What is a Sleep Disorder?
Sleep disorders include difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep, as well as maintaining alertness during the day. Many types of disorders may involve one or more of the following symptoms:
- Daytime sleepiness
- Loud, irregular snoring
- Morning headaches
- Poor concentration
- High blood pressure
- Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
- Heartburn at night
- Heart rhythm disorder
- Awakening frequently to urniate
- Awakening with a sore throat, dry mouth or nasal congestion
- Teeth grinding
If a sleep disorder is suspected, a sleep study can confirm the existence of a problem and provide a valuable treatment plan to get you well rested and sleeping again. Our lab takes most insurance plans or there are a variety of payment plans to accommodate your needs.
