Dr. Erik Shultz, M.D.
Obstetrics and Gynecology
A native Texan, Dr. Shultz graduated from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and earned his medical degree with honors from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, in Little Rock, Ark. Dr. Shultz completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School-Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. Before joining Memorial Hermann Medical Group, Dr. Shultz had practiced medicine in Mountain Home, Ark., since 2005, where he served as the chief of obstetrics and gynecology in 2011.
Dr. Shultz is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology with clinical interests in minimally invasive surgery and high-risk obstetrics. Over the years, he performed close to 3,000 deliveries, including five sets of twins in a single day. Dr. Shultz provides care for women beginning in adolescence. He makes it a point to always take the time to ensure each patient is comfortable and clearly understands her medical condition.
Dr. Shultz speaks Spanish and is married with four children. He enjoys soccer and T-ball with his three sons, skiing, scuba diving, golf and time with his newborn baby girl.
