Alfred A. Boyd IV - Family Medicine
Building on a background in genetic research at Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Boyd completed his medical degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas, and his residency at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Ga. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice and his clinical interests are men’s health, pediatrics, sports medicine and counseling for depression and anxiety. He sees patients of 1 year and older.
A native of Clear Lake, Texas, Dr. Boyd first practiced medicine in Atlanta for four years before returning to Texas in 2008. He recognizes the importance of earning each patient’s trust and believes that getting to know each one on a personal level is essential to providing quality healthcare. His office staff speaks fluent Spanish and Dr. Boyd speaks medical Spanish. He lives in The Woodlands with his wife and young daughter, and enjoys reading, cooking and playing softball in his spare time.

Altaf Karim, M.D. - Internal Medicine
A graduate of the University of Karachi Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, Dr. Karim completed his internal medicine residency at Loyola University Medical Center, Foster G. McGaw Hospital and Hines VA Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Karim is a firm believer in the vital role a good patient/doctor relationship plays in maintaining good health. He also advocates the importance of continuity of care and prefers to oversee and manage the care of his patients personally when they are hospitalized. His clinical interests include cardiology, metabolic syndrome-related disorders, hypertension, high cholesterol, diabetes and obesity.
He has been consecutively selected as a “Houston Top Doc” in 2008, 2009 and 2010 by H Texas Magazine and has practiced in The Woodlands for the past 15 years. Dr. Karim lives with his family in The Woodlands and in his spare time enjoys traveling, reading, music and staying active. He encourages his patients to find hobbies and remain active as a part of a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Karim is an avid racquetball player who has competed in state doubles competitions.

Jeffrey Sweeney, M.D. - Family Medicine
Dr. Sweeney attended medical school at the University of Southern California and completed his residency in family medicine at Kaiser Permanente of Riverside where he was chief resident the final year. A commissioned officer in the armed forces, Dr. Sweeney served four years as captain of the medical corps, practicing family medicine at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. He has been a physician more than 10 years, providing compassionate care for entire families from babies to grandparents.
Board certified in Family Medicine, Dr. Sweeney is a Diplomat of the American Board of Family Physicians and a member of the American Medical Association. He lives in The Woodlands, Texas with his wife and three children, and plays and coaches basketball in his spare time. Dr. Sweeney enjoys the wide diversity of a family medicine practice and believes listening is the key in helping his patients achieve better overall health and wellness.

Annie K. Thomas, M.D. - Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism
Dr. Thomas comes from a family with a history of diabetes, and this fact influenced both her decision to practice medicine as well as the subspecialty she chose to pursue. She received her Endocrinology subspecialty training from Louisiana State University Medical Center,in Shreveport,LA.During her residency training in Internal Medicine ,she was honored to serve as chief resident at the Englewood Hospital and Medical Center in New Jersey. Her clinical interests are diabetes, thyroid, parathyroid, cholesterol, osteoporosis, and ovarian and testicular diseases and disorders. She treats patients 18 years and older.
Board certified in Endocrinology,Diabetes and Metabolism. Dr. Thomas has been in practice for eight years. Her treatment recommendations are individualized ,based on careful assessment in combination with any necessary diagnostic testing. Dr. Thomas believes that honesty, trust and open dialog form the foundation of a successful patient/doctor relationship. She lives in Conroe, Texas, with her husband and two young children, and enjoys painting, cooking and traveling when time allows.
